Volunteer Library Technician
The Volunteer and Internships Program at the Center manages volunteers and interns with diverse interests and backgrounds. Our dedicated volunteers and interns enable the Center to serve as a crucial resource for thousands of individuals with disabilities throughout Connecticut. Without the help of our volunteers and interns, we would be unable to continue.
The volunteer library technician position is ideal for individuals interested in a position acquiring and organizing material and helping library patrons locate information. As part of his job, Mr. Kazi is responsible for directing patrons to standard reference resources; organizing and maintaining periodicals; handling interlibrary loan requests; cataloguing library materials; maintaining the library’s databases; entering catalogue information into library computers and retrieving information from databases.
