Elisa Wilson

Executive Assistant

Before joining UCONN’s Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, I worked in the non-profit early childhood field for ten years, where I managed several contracts and grants to improve early childhood experiences, promote early intervention, and facilitate multi-agency collaborations to support community development goals. Working with urban children in Hartford taught me a great deal about the importance of community empowerment and the impact of early experiences on child development.

In my role as Executive Assistant to Dr. Mary Beth Bruder at UCONN’s Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, I coordinate schedules and events, and serve as a support for several of the Center’s personnel development, community support, and technical assistance functions. My behind-the-scenes role supports the organization’s vision of CT citizens with disabilities having opportunities and supports that allow them to be valued, fully included, independent, productive, and contributing members of society.
