Elizabeth is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. She earned her B.A. in Sociology and American Studies, followed by her MSW, from Rutgers University. She has worked previously as a medical social worker and as a clinical research counselor. Currently, she is interested in researching health disparities, access to health care, health service utilization, and the experiences of vulnerable patient populations within the medical setting. Upon obtaining her degree she hopes to continue supporting the health and wellbeing of marginalized individuals, groups, and communities by continuing to conduct research into how the health care system can be improved.
