Kayla Rusby-Wood is a first-year master’s student in the School Psychology program at
the University of Connecticut. She graduated from Utah State University in 2021 with a Bachelor
of Science in Psychology. At Utah State University, she was the Vice President of Risk
Management for her sorority where she facilitated multiple educational programs targeted to
strengthen the mental health of collegiate women. Kayla has experience as a lead instructor at an
early intervention preschool for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder where she
provided services in 1:1 and small group settings. She is passionate about working with
neurodiverse individuals and is interested in disability advocacy.
