Torri Ann Woodruff-Gautherin

Assistant Professor in Residence


Torri Ann Woodruff-Gautherin is an Assistant Professor in Residence serving as the coordinator for the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) program at the UCEDD. Torri Ann graduated with her PhD in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences in 2022 at the University of Connecticut following clinical audiology training at Gallaudet University. She has conducted research implementing both qualitative and quantitative methods to look at drivers behind access to early intervention for children who are D/deaf and Hard of hearing and the intersection of various disciplines in serving families of children who are D/deaf and Hard of hearing. Torri Ann’s focus is on the support of children and families in a supportive environment.

 

At home, Torri Ann can be found bonding with her animals (rabbits, dogs, and fish) and family. On weekends, Torri Ann and her dog Marah Jade can be found traveling the state attending events, trying gluten free food, earning various trick, scent work, and service titles, all while advocating for the adoption of animals with complex medical needs.
