Transition Skills Training for Parents

OVERVIEW

This one-day training program is offered with the goal of preparing families of children with disabilities to advocate for their children as they transition from the K-12 system to life as a young adult in the community. It consists of three sessions which focus on different aspects of transition. Faculty for the program represent the UCONN School of Medicine, the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, and the State Education Resource Center (SERC).
