Ali Zelan, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Ali Zelan is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Connecticut. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Ankara University, a master’s degree in Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education (EI/ECSE) from the University of Oregon, and a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Georgia. He also holds graduate certificates in EI/ECSE, Dyslexia and Other Learning Disabilities, and Education Law and Policy.
Ali’s research centers on the social validation of interventions, programs, and services in special education and early childhood intervention. His work aims to bridge the gap between research and practice by prioritizing the perspectives of those who are directly impacted by educational decisions.
