About the Consumer Advisory Council (CAC)

Consumer involvement and input is a crucial component of any UCEDD program. The UCEDD must involve consumers, in the form of a council, who represent individuals with developmental disabilities in the state, including those who come from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Role of Consumer Advisory Members

Members serve as a link to consumers and organizations. They encourage others to participate in UCEDD's activities and represent their own interests related to disability issues, as well as the interests of the communities they represent. CAC members play an active role in the development of the UCEDD's five year strategic plan.
