Consumer Advisory Council (CAC)

Consumer involvement and input is a crucial component of any UCEDD program. The UCEDD must involve consumers, in the form of a committee, who represent individuals with developmental disabilities in the State, including those who come from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Role of Consumer Advisory Members

These members serve as a link to consumers and organizations, become more informed about the UCEDD activities, encourage others to participate, they represent their own interests related to disability issues, and also the interests of the communities they represent. CAC members take an active role in the development of the UCEDD's five year strategic plan.
