What is the last piece of advocacy you worked on? 

I chair the DEC Policy and Advocacy Committee so the items are too numerous to mention.

Why do you think advocacy is important? 

Proactive Advocacy is crucial to ensuring that those who are in power to make decisions hear the voices of those who will be affected directly or indirectly.

Why do you think the UCEDD is important? 

It’s focus on EI/ECESE brings much needed information, training, and TA to providers. Moreover, the information is grounded is research and our current understanding of best practices.
