What is the last piece of advocacy you worked on? 

In January 2023, Special Olympics athletes attended a first-year medical course at Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University to share their healthcare stories and advocate for equitable access to healthcare for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Why do you think advocacy is important? 

Advocacy is important to ensure all voices are heard on important issues that impact one’s life.

Why do you think the UCEDD is important? 

The UCEDD is important because it brings together education, research, and service to advocate for inclusion of individuals with disabilities.
