Legislative Policy Analyst

What is the last piece of advocacy you worked on? 

Wrote testimony in support of legislation and hosted a community event to raise awareness and to educate communities of color, as well as their legislators about Autism.

Why do you think advocacy is important? 

Advocacy is important because it ensures that voices are heard. Advocacy can protect and promote people’s rights and have people’s views considered when decisions are being made about their lives.

Why do you think the UCEDD is important? 

UCCED works to ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities participate fully in their communities, have the independence that they desire and need, and are allowed to be productive in an inclusive community.
