What is the last piece of advocacy you worked on? 

I am in the midst of advocating for an appropriate placement for my son, as he transitions to adult services.

Why do you think advocacy is important? 

Advocacy for our developmentally and intellectually challenged individuals is essential for their inclusion and acceptance in society.

Why do you think the UCEDD is important? 

Advocacy for our DD and ID population requires a coalition of multiple disciplines with drive, expertise and passion. There is tremendous competition for funds, and our children/adults need us to be their voice.
