Kristyn DeConti

Kristy DeConti joined the UConn Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities in July 2025. Kristy earned her BA in Communications and Theatre Arts at Western Connecticut State University and her MA in Early Childhood Special Education at the University of St. Joseph. Throughout her twenty years of experience, she has worked in the CT Birth to Three System as well as public and private schools as a Preschool Special Education teacher.

Kristy is passionate about the future of Early Childhood Education and is proud of her work in childcare centers, training teachers in best practices and developmental screening. She also is a volunteer at the Bushell Theater in Hartford, working on their sensory friendly programming, and Autism on the Seas, a non-profit that assists families with special needs on their vacations.
