Advocating for ADA workplace accommodations for EAP clients; Educational advocacy for adoptees with learning needs
Why do you think advocacy is important?
In my roles, it is important to provide support, guidance, and resources with a primary objective being to empower individuals (who are able) to eventually feel confident and able to do so themselves.
Why do you think the UCEDD is important?
For many, many reasons. Integration of policy and best practices into and through academic programming; research and evaluation; fostering collaboration opportunities both within the University and partnerships with statewide agencies- to name only a few.
