Holly is a graduate student in the Public Health program at the University of Connecticut. Previously, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience and a concentration in research from UConn. She has worked as a patient care assistant for two individuals with disabilities previously and has conducted research into the long-term outcomes of individuals initially diagnosed as having autism but who later qualified as typically developing. She has also worked in a research lab examining the impact of autism spectrum disorder on language processing. Currently, she is interested in early detection and screening measures for detecting autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as continuing her work examining the development and outcomes of those who “lose” their autism diagnosis. Her goal is to work in academia after obtaining her degree and continue researching topics related to autism spectrum disorder.
