Jill Isenberg, MA

Research Associate

Jill Isenberg returned to the University of Connecticut Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) in March 2020 as Research Associate/Project Coordinator for the Interdisciplinary Personnel Preparation Masters Training Program. Jill initially joined the center in 1999 as a Research Assistant on several of the center’s Model Demonstration Projects including Medical Homes, Increasing Children’s Learning Opportunities, The Social Competence Curriculum Project, and Natural Environments in Urban Communities.

Jill has more than 12 years of experience in both Massachusetts and Connecticut Early Intervention/Birth to Three agencies as a Service Coordinator and Early Interventionist. In 2011 Jill served in the UCEDD as Project Coordinator for a Parent to Parent Model of Service Delivery for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

As a parent of a child with a disability, and with her core values aligning with the divisions mission, returning to the center was seamless. Her passion in research, advocacy, and education is further fueled by her immense desire to address the disparities across communities, family and culturally competent service delivery, and the need for collaboration amongst all professionals for our most vulnerable populations. She is looking forward to this new endeavor of preparing our Future Professionals to Serve Children with Disabilities who have High Intensity Needs.
