School-Age and Post-Secondary
Adulting
The Adulting curriculum seeks to assist adolescents and young adults in creating a vision for their life after high school. Nine workshop sessions cover the topics of self-determination and self-advocacy, developing social connections, supported living, adult use of money, competitive integrated employment, higher education for all, health, and citizenship. Elements of Charting the LifeCourse are used for this interactive training provided in the context of full community inclusion with the supports needed to increase participants knowledge and skills on what it takes to be a successful adult.
An ”Adulting for Adults” version is also available for adults with disabilities who are ready to move into their own homes.
