Survey of Primary Care Physicians: Providing Care to Adults with Disabilities in CT

As the population of adults with disabilities in Connecticut continues to increase, a statewide survey was conducted of adult primary care physicians (PCPs; internal medicine or family medicine) was conducted. The purpose of this study was to assess the knowledge, skills, and previous training about the medical needs of persons with disabilities to inform areas for future training and professional development opportunities to address adult provider knowledge to care for persons with disabilities.
