Elizabeth Beltran-Rivera

Research Associate


Elizabeth Beltran Rivera M.A., is a Research Associate in Child and Family Studies at the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at UConn Health. A mother of three young children, she has several family members and close connections with people who have developmental disabilities.
Prior to joining the team, she managed hundreds of Annual Meetings, Special Meetings, along with Mergers and Acquisitions for fortune 500 companies in a regulatory compliance capacity. In the Fintech industry, she was known for retention, training, and mentorship. She spent three years in research studying epidemiology of Addiction and Mood Disorders and is published in this field. Her years spent as a Dance Instructor working with neurodiverse children fueled her passion for psychology and led to her seeking her master’s degree.

Elizabeth received her M.A. in general psychology from CUNY Queens College and her B.A. from Hofstra University. Elizabeth is delighted to work with the UCEDD team and meaningfully contribute to their continued success.
