Alternatives to Punishment

OVERVIEW

This white paper presents a compelling argument about why restraints and seclusion time-out are unnecessary aversive consequences inflicted on people with disabilities for behaviors that are communicative. It provides alternatives to ending all forms of punishment while teaching positive behaviors.
